Have the opportunity to participate in the International Pairs tournament by entering your club into the competition today. International Pairs UK 2010 has now been launched and we are currently contacting all UK golf clubs to register qualifying events.
Check the list of registered clubs: if yours is listed, simply find out when the qualifying event is taking place and make sure you win it.If your club is not listed, please do everything you can to get it in the diary. If you need further information to persuade the club to register, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Clubs can run a qualifier any time from now until 30th August 2010.
All you have to do is complete the registration form and proceed to payment. There is even an early bird reduction for clubs that register by the end of February. You decide how much to charge at club level and any money you make over and above the fixed entry fee is yours to do with as you like - whether that be prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place pairs or simply a donation to the Captain's charity.
Each club decides on the format in which to run their qualifying event, it can even be an individual event where the top 2 qualify, and it is be open to any club members be they men's, ladies' or mixed pairs or a combination of all three. From the regional stages onwards the format is 4 ball better played off 3/4 handicap. Maximum handicap for men is 24 and ladies 32.
The entry fee has been held for the 10th year running at just £250.00 + VAT (£293.75) per pair that you wish to send to the regional finals but if you are able to pay by 28th February 2010, you will benefit from a 10% discount, making the cost of entry just £225.00 + VAT (£264.38).
The winning pair from every club that enters wins a place in a regional final where they will be provided with one complimentary night’s accommodation, an evening meal and a competition round of golf. The top 3 pairs from each regional event qualify to the National final, and from there the winners qualify to represent club and country in the 3 day World Final on a world class course against all other national champions.
