Welcome to the World of International Pairs
International Pairs is the UK's premier tournament for amateur club golfers and is now more accessible than ever.

Following the success of the inaugural matchplay qualifiers in summer 2008, we have now launched a new series of matchplay qualifiers for winter 2008/9. The winners will go forward to the regional finals in 2009 and compete for the opportunity to represent club and country in the World Final 2009. Register for the Matchplay Knockout Qualifying competition now.

Deen Graves & Martyn Ashcroft (Dawlish Warren GC) - UK Champions 2007
UK Champions 2007
Hundreds of UK golf clubs have already registered for this year’s event but there is still time to join them. The qualifying event at your club can take place any time up to September 15th 2008 and the winning pair(s) from your club are guaranteed a place in the semi-finals in October.

The qualifying event can be held in any format although the betterball stableford format used from the semi-finals onwards gives all players an equal chance and must surely be the best playing format for the amateur golfer.

Semi-finals will be held on some of the top courses in the UK later in the year and all pairs will receive a night's accommodation in a local hotel, a welcome reception and 18 holes of competitive golf. Practice rounds are also available the day before the semi-final.

Shaun Smith & Simon Deaves (Scarborough South Cliff GC) - World Champions 2007

The top pairs from each of the semi-finals will qualify for the UK Grand Final at Carnoustie in October where they will receive two nights' accommodation in the Carnoustie Hotel overlooking the 1st tee and the 18th green, a welcome reception, a gala dinner and, of course, the chance to play competitive golf on the world renowned Carnoustie golf courses.

The UK champions and the national champions from England, Scotland and Wales as well as the next three best placed pairs will then qualify to take on the champions from all the other countries that participate in the tournament in the World Final in 2009.

Register now to ensure that your club is represented. You could be just four rounds of golf away from the World Final in 2009.

Good luck to the UK’s representatives in the 2008 World Final to be held in St. Andrews in September:
Martyn Ashcroft (18) and Deen Graves (14) from Dawlish Warren GC
Elliot Briggs (13) & Tom Woods (24) from Howley Hall GC
John Maxwell (4) & Stephen Brown (5) from Bonnybridge GC
Andrew Richardson (2) & Mike Greener (5) from Woodham GC
Roy Knowles (5) & David Steel (12) from Market Rasen GC
Bryan Williams (10) & Aled Williams (10) from Cottrell Park GC
Jim Callaghan (4) & Mark Gregory (2) from Dunscar GC

Look out for the extensive coverage on Sky Sports soon after the event.
