International Pairs Québec Final
Thursday, 11 September 2008

Marilyne Cadieux and Saby Dagenais
will take part in the International Pairs in Scotland

Dorval, September 10, 2008 – The Beaconsfield Golf Club hosted, yesterday, to one of the three Canadian finales for the International Pairs competition that will take place in 2009. Traditionally, Golf Québec registered its three winning pairs of the summer: François Bissonnette and James Woodcroft of Le Champêtre who won the Men’s Provincial Four-Ball Championship, Saby Dagenais of Fontainebleau and Marilyne Cadieux of Deux-Montagnes who captured the honours of the NIVO Women’s Provincial Four-Ball Championship, as well as Marie-Pierre Bernier and Carl Dumont of Lac Mégantic who were crowned at the Mixed Provincial Championship.

The Québec final was played in the Stableford format, which means that twosomes were playing the best ball of the team, and registered net scores based on 75% of their handicap factors. Golf Québec surely is proud of its teams! Marilyne and Saby scored 43 points and captured the victory in the final qualifier presented by Beaconsfield. As a result, they will be invited to take part in the world final to be held in Scotland, in 2009. Ranking second with 40 points is another one of Golf Québec’s team: François and James.
